Lower Back, Gluteal, Hip, Upper Leg Pain Relief

There are muscles that wrap all the way around the abdomen, back, and hips, like a girdle.

Pain in the lower back, gluteals and legs can sometimes be caused by restrictions in the abdomen and hip creases.

It could be connected to a shoulder restriction, a dysfunctional jaw joint, or the feet.  It's all connected, and we will search high and low to find tissue restrictions that may be contributing to your pain.

Massage for Lower Back and Lower Body Pain Relief

Whole back:  Massaging the muscles of the entire back, like the Erector Spinae that run from the neck to the sacrum, can help relieve tension in the lower back.

Gluteal muscles: Massaging the gluteal muscles and hip rotator muscles can help the lower back and legs relax.

Abdomen:  It may be unexpected, but massaging the abdomen and the deeper psoas muscle - the main hip flexor - can take pressure off the lower back, sacroiliac joint, leg and even the knee.

Hip crease, hip flexors, & upper leg:  Massaging the muscles around the hip crease, including the hip flexors and the whole upper leg can relax the leg and relieve the lower back.

IT band:  The IT band is the largest tendon in the body and is like a superhighway from the hip to the knee.  Massaging the muscles on either end of the IT band can help it loosen up and take pressure off the lower back, hip, knee, and even the foot!
